4 Steps to Turn Ambition Into Reality

Faith and fitness, what do these two things have in common? In most settings the two topics are completely separated from each other. Fitness & health is for one crowd and that spiritual religious stuff is for another. Maybe it's time to take a closer look. Maybe these two have a closer connection to each other than it appears. After all, isn’t one of the goals of getting in shape to feel better & isn’t one of the purposes of seeking spirituality or religion in some way to help us feel better too?
If you were building a house, would you consider it finished if the outside was complete but the inside was not, no kitchen, no bathroom? Probably not, you would consider that house incomplete. We want our homes to be just as beautiful & complete on the inside as they are on the outside, don’t we? Maybe it's time to look at ourselves a little bit like that house that's being built.
Spiritual health is the precursor to physical health, not the other way around. It is important to understand who created you, why you were created and how you can live that mission out every day. This is the foundation for all things in our life. It’s common to think that being spiritual is only for the religious people of the world. My guess is that most of us would not consider ourselves that way, definitely not me! But what I found was, that's not the truth at all. We were created to run on Gods spirit. I once owned a car that required premium gasoline, it’s called 91 at the pump. That car ran on 87, but it didn’t run quite right. It was created to run and premium gas. You and I were created to run on the Spirit of God. We run our best when we run on his fuel, not ours. A spiritually healthy person has a relationship with their creator, they have a much stronger sense of their self worth & value. In turn that allows them to live a fuller, happier life for themselves but also for they friends, family & community. Start to make a concise effort to spend a little time with God & reading the bible everyday.
The same is true about our bodies, they were created to run on fuel as well. That's why it's so important to do just a couple basics that will ensure we are taking care of them. Eating right is one of them & the other is getting consistent exercise. A physically healthy body leads to a better quality of life, you have more energy to do things, you feel better about yourself and overall you live a more vibrant life! Make a concise effort to spend a little more time on yourself everyday. Replace just one or two foods in your diet with a fruit or vegetable. Start to make sure that you get at least 20 mins of some type of exercise in everyday. A walk, bike ride, run or even hit the gym. Remember, there is no better investment that you can make than in yourself.
If you’re serious about making some changes, I have something that you may be interested in. It’s called the Arcor Challenge.
